We work hard every day to be responsive to our community in our pursuit of fair, accurate reporting. We’re your neighbors, and we’ve been doing this work for more than 130 years. The Gazette is fully independent and 100 percent employee owned.

But we know in this era of misinformation and "alternative facts," it can be hard to know who to trust. A 2016 Gallup poll showed only 32 percent of Americans had "a great deal" or "a fair amount" of trust in the news media.

With this in mind, in January 2018 we joined a national project known as the Trusting News project, in an effort to demonstrate credibility and answer questions.

Along the way, we want to hear from you about how we're doing.
